Police Dogs Visit

On Monday 9th June the South Yorkshire Police Dog Section paid us a visit.

They showed us the General Purpose dogs that all handlers work with, they showed us some of the training techniques the handlers use and how the dogs are used in an everyday situation.

Sgt Ward and PC Grange brought their dogs, Chief and Digby.  They demonstrated and explained how the dogs can search buildings, and open spaces for offenders and evidence.  They also revealed how the dogs deal with aggressive or fleeing suspects. The dogs either bite them or threaten them by barking if they submit.

Thank  you to Sgt Ward and PC Grange for coming to visit is and give us an exciting evening
