Fairbourne Camp 2017

In October myself and three other Cadets from 148 (Barnsley) Sqn attended Fairbourne adventure training week in Wales.

On our first day we completed a mountain biking training session which was followed by white water rafting where we got to get wet and have fun.

On Monday we went mountain biking with our very own Flt Lt Harrison which was great fun and I really enjoyed it.

Throughout the rest of the week it consisted of mountain walks, indoor climbing, canoeing and kayaking spread out across the remaining days.

We ended the week with a walk around local paths where we walked over 14km. It was great fun and we all god to work on our map reading and teamwork.

This was a great experience for my first camp and I am looking forward to hopefully going to Windermere in March 2018. Also I hope more opportunities will become available as I go on through my cadet career.
