FS Swaby Ages Out

Wednesday 30th August was FS Louis Swaby’s last night as an Air Cadet. He has had an action packed time over nearly the last 7 years as a cadet.

Some highlights during his time with the Squadron were flying in a Chinook, Griffin, Tutor and Vigilant aircraft, indoor climbing, Bronze and Silver DofE’s, NICAS climbing wall award, Mountain Biking being one of the senior cadets in the activity, one of the lead brass players in the Squadron Band, Activity First Aider to name a few. Louis also represented the Squadron on many parades both in the band and as part of the parade, always representing us in the true Air Cadet spirit.

Louis was a great asset to the NCO team at 148 Sqn and worked hard for the team at everything he undertook and will be missed by all the Squadron.

We wish him every success with his chosen career path and hope he can stay in contact with the Squadron in the future.

Louis you have truly grown in your role on Squadron and we hope you have the same success in life as you have in your cadet career.

Sqn Ldr Andy Williams RAF VR(T), Officer Commanding 148 (Barnsley) Squadron.
