Remembrance Day Parade 2015

On Sunday Cadets from 148 (Barnsley) Squadron took part in the 2015 Remembrance Day Parade in Barnsley Town Centre.

As well as hundreds of members of the public the Cadets were joined by the Barnsley Sea Cadets, Barnsley Army Cadets, Scouts, Regular Army service men and women, Police and Fire Services and veterans from all services and The Royal British Legion for a traditional service of remembrance at the war memorial in front of Barnsley Town Hall.

Mayor Councillor Brian Mathers lead the borough’s service of remembrance to acknowledge the ultimate sacrifice made by the town’s service men and women. He was joined by Civic dignitaries including the Vice Lord Lieutenant of South Yorkshire and the High Sheriff of South Yorkshire.

After the service our Cadets took part in the annual parade, it was a great honour for everyone involved.

Well done to the Cadets who took part, you looked very smart and you did the Sqn, yourselves and the town of Barnsley proud.
